Retired Canadian Army captain Jerry Flynn, who spent 22 years in its “Electronic Warfare” unit, is beseeching Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Canadian Medical Assn. president Dr. Chris Simpson to stop “suppressing the truth” about the dangers of Wi-Fi, Cellphones, computers, cell towers and other forms of radiation.
The Canadian government is “blind to the decades-old corruption that is ongoing within the Minister of Health’s radiation protection bureau,” he said. “Tragically, for all persons living in Canada, our provincial governments have shown themselves to be willfully silent to those of us who have made many attempts to alert them over the years.”

Judge recognized “the great possibility of the EM field of low frequency to be carcinogenic agent in human beings”
The Brazilian Judiciary determined to reduce the level of electromagnetic pollution generated by power lines to standard adopted by Swiss law (1.0 microtesla).
Two associations of residents in São Paulo — the largest city of Brazil — proposed the action. The plaintiff has pleaded to not be exposed to electromagnetic fields incompatible with the human health.
The electromagnetic fields generated by power lines that cross these areas is 10 times greater than the level determined by the court. The judgment of Continue reading

Fires prompt full recall of Sensus Meters & investigation of why testing never happened
The removal of the smart meters over the next six to nine months will cost around $50 million, according to SaskPower. (Initial estimates were at $15 million)
REGINA – SaskPower has announced that they are removing all the smart meters that were installed in the province.
The minister responsible for SaskPower Bill Boyd said the utility company will be taking out all 105,000 smart meters around Saskatchewan.
“I think the concerns about safety are paramount here, the concerns are significant enough, anytime families are at risk in Saskatchewan, actions have to be taken and that’s why we’ve directed SaskPower accordingly,” said Minister Boyd.
(Ed. note: As mentioned in video, a similar recall is taking place in Oregon, replacing Sensus meters installed by PG&E. Story here: http://www.oregonlive.com/business/index.ssf/2014/07/pge_replacing_some_electricity.html)
The removal of the smart meters over the next six to nine months will cost around $50 million, according to SaskPower.
“We view it as similar to a recall situation and the people of Saskatchewan shouldn’t be responsible for the costs of this and we’ll do everything we can to recover those costs,” said Boyd.
Boyd will also be reviewing why the new meters weren’t properly studied or tested before they were installed in homes.
“I don’t know whether there was enough testing done. We’ll certainly be conducting, along with SaskPower, an internal review of the procurement procedures around this around the safety concerns people had,” added Boyd.
“We want to determine when these were originally ordered, if there were safety concerns known at that point in time, so we have a lot of questions we’re going to be discussing with SaskPower about how this came to be.”
Earlier this month SaskPower temporarily suspended its installation of smart meters around the province after half a dozen caught fire.
The Alaska Supreme Court (Court) upheld the decision of the Alaska Workers’ Compensation Board (Board) awarding an AT&T equipment installer 100% disability as a result of his workplace electromagnetic field exposure to radiofrequency (RF) radiation at levels slightly above the FCC RF limit. The award was based on the psychological and cognitive effects of RF radiation and over-exposure. This decision is significant because the FCC RF limit is designed to keep people from being heated and ignores evidence of other adverse biological effects at much lower levels.
The RF radiation exposure level in question was well below the FCC’s recognized level of “thermal” harm. The FCC contends that there are no scientifically established harmful health effects below the thermal threshold. The Board decision agrees with the medical experts who found adverse health effects from this RF radiation exposure which occurred above the FCC safety limit but below the thermal threshold. This decision could have a very significant financial impact on the wireless industry Continue reading

Have any of the parents of these children diagnosed with ADD or ADHD or school officials or, these psychiatric quacks considered the possibility that these children who are obviously in an agitated state are responding to radio frequencies that permeate the schools, neighborhoods and homes: anywhere and every where?
As the number of SMART meters, cell towers and hidden antennas, rise, so does the number of children diagnosed with so-called attention deficit disorders. These same children appear to be responding to Continue reading
A major telecom company patented a system to reduce electrosmog from
wireless local networks to reduce cancer risks associated with non-thermal
exposures to microwave radiation. The industry has known the risks for many
years but has failed to act. This patent application acknowledged the cancer
risk from exposure to wireless radiation eight years before the WHO*s
International Agency for Research on Cancer declared that radiofrequency energy,
including cell phone and Wi-Fi radiation, is a possible carcinogen to
humans, like DDT and lead.
Now as a matter of public record, this patent application demonstrates that the Wireless Industry acknowledged, and has known for many years the potential health risks and carcinogenic influence, from use of its technology, for at least the past 10 years. Yet the Industry continues to fight efforts to educate the public about these risks and blocks effective regulation of wireless radiation in the U.S. and in other countries.
PRLog (Press Release) – Mar. 11, 2013 – Swisscom AG, a major telecommunications
provider in Switzerland, filed U.S. and international patent applications for an
innovative system to reduce electrosmog from wireless local networks
(i.e., Wi-Fi) in 2003.
This patent application acknowledged the cancer risk from Continue reading

“Electric utilities have spent hundreds of millions of dollars on smart meters in an attempt to shave peak loads. Using demand charges and “time of use” meters, utilities have been trying to modify consumer behavior. Yet studies continue to reveal that even with proper consumer education about smart meter benefits, utilities have only cut peak loads by 6-8 percent using these meters. For peak shaving, distributed energy storage can be more effective because it does not require consumer involvement. Simply deploying battery storage within communities and at substations can achieve the same (or better) effect as changing consumer behavior, while giving utilities tighter resource control.” (Source: Whitepaper S&C Electric)
Utilities can leverage storage to shift load and generation patterns, making better use of grid assets, boosting grid reliability, and cutting carbon emissions — all without investing in changing consumers’ hard-wired habits. As battery technology costs continue falling, Continue reading

This eye-opening documentary feature film investigates the “smart meter” program currently being implemented worldwide by most of the major utility companies. These devices are being installed often without the consent – and sometimes against the protests – of property owners. The film uncovers alarming issues about health, privacy, property rights, corporate fraud, and the unprecedented vulnerability of the “smart grid”. Hear from such experts as Bill Vander Zalm (former Premier of British Columbia, CA), Dr. David Carpenter (Director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University at Albany, B. Blake Levitt (an award-winning science journalist), and many others. You will gain a deeper understanding of the political and economic forces behind the “smart meter” agenda, as well as resources and proven solutions for how you can protect yourself, your family, your home, and your rights. Panel discussion to follow the film.
“Billions spent with taxpayer dollars on “smart meters” will not lead to U.S. sustainability; Place citizens and economy at risk”
WASHINGTON, D.C. — November 26, 2012. A new policy report focused on the electric grid and economy of energy, “Getting Smarter About the Smart Grid”, was published today by the National Institute for Science, Law & Public Policy (NISLAPP) in Washington, D.C. The report states that billions of dollars in federal subsidies for “smart” utility meters have been misspent on meter technology that will not lead to energy sustainability or contribute to the possibility of a more efficient and responsive electricity grid.
“Getting Smarter About the Smart Grid” is authored by smart grid technology expert Timothy Schoechle, PhD, an international Continue reading

“The installation of Smart Meters at residential buildings has created a public outcry about potential or perceived health effects. We have received numerous calls from the public for the evaluation at their building. To address these requests appropriately we have researched the scientific literature on the technical specifications and measurement methodologies. The issues involved with the evaluation of Smart Meters are very complex. We have summarized our findings in this paper to provide a better understanding of the subject matter and issues involved.” Peter Sierck.

People are fed up. Fed up with being forced to have an unwanted, intrusive device attached to their home. Fed up with utility company threats, coercion, and lies. Fed up with having their essential services disconnected or being charged a hefty fee if they don’t want to subject their families to fire risk, higher bills, privacy invasion, and health damage.
“Smart” meters are not “progress” “cost saving” or “green.” They are ruining lives, reducing service reliability and costing us dearly. The “smart grid” and its “mesh networks” are Continue reading

If you have ever wondered if your smart meter is being used to spy on you, well now there is proof that governments and private organisations are using data collected from smart meters.
Information about power usage, which can be used to identify when a home is being occupied, is being shared with third parties including government agencies, private organisations and off-shore data processing centres.
This unethical breach of privacy was discovered Continue reading
In an incredibly ironic piece of news, Telvent, the company behind a control system designed to be used in concert with the so-called “smart grid,” recently announced that their network had been breached by hackers who “accessed project files related to a control system used in portions of the electrical grid,”according to Threat Level.
The smart grid system, which companies like Telvent (which is owned by Schneider Electric) are involved in, is currently being pushed by corporate-sponsored studies as well as major legislative efforts.
In a letter written to their customers, Telvent revealed that they realized their network had been breached on September 10, 2012.
The network wasn’t only breached; the hackers also were able to install malicious software on the company’s network.

Like most Americans, I took only moderate notice of President Barack Obama’s announcement on October 27, 2009 of a $3.4 billion commitment to build something called the “smart grid.” My ears perked up when Obama spoke about how the new smart grid would be based on a clean energy economy, and I envisioned renewable energy sources powering Continue reading

“Consumers have a right to know the radiation levels of cell phones…… They also deserve to have up-to-date exposure standards that are put together by health professionals without conflicts of interest.”
By Stephen Dinan – The Washington Times

Rep. Dennis Kucinich has introduced a bill that would require cell phones to warn consumers how much radiation is coming from their phones, saying that until science can disprove a link to cancer, the public should be told more information.
His bill, the Cell Phone Right to Know Act, would also demand a study of cell phones and health, looking at a broad array of signals that smart phones now send out, Continue reading
October 21, 2010. (Edited for context) While the rest of the world rushes onwards with the wireless revolution, Switzerland – the country that invented the World Wide Web – and the largest telecom provider – SWISSCOM which is owned (52%) by the Swiss government – have decided to light up the public school’s wired networks using fiber optics FOR FREE!
To help you understand the reasoning why Switzerland prefers LAN over WiFi (wireless internet), we have produced a short video that will provide some insight as to why the Swiss government is so forward thinking in matters related to the children’s health and education when it involves internet access.
After you watch the video – explore the links to the Swiss Office of Public Health website. For brevity, you can just pay attention to the bold text.
there is one catch,
HALLOWELL — In voting Tuesday to investigate the health and safety of wireless “smart meters,” the Maine Public Utilities Commission set in motion a legal and technical case that’s expected to be followed nationally by the power industry and citizen activists.
While it’s too soon to say how comprehensive Maine’s review will be, no state utility agency has held public hearings or conducted its own research into whether radio-frequency radiation from the digital devices is harmful to electricity customers, according to Continue reading
A Cautionary Tale on Wireless from a Silicon Valley Exec
What if we, as citizens of our community, actually had the right to choose whether or not we wanted RF wireless meters radiating microwaves in our homes 24 hours per day, or cell towers microwaving our children in school all day long, or factories spewing toxic fumes into our air, or CAFO’s poisoning our water, land and air? Is that an impossible dream, because corporate agendas control our system of government, at the federal, state and local levels? Or can we actually restore democracy in our community, by working within the existing governing framework, Continue reading
Daniel Hirsch Video on CCST’s ‘Fuzzy Math’
Last night, Stop Smart Meters! caught up with Daniel Hirsch, a lecturer and expert in nuclear policy at UCSC who has been widely quoted in the media regarding recent events in Japan. Here is what he had to say about the so-called ‘independent’ CCST report on the health effects of smart meters:
Mr. Hirsch had just finished his talk at Stevenson College, UCSC about the crisis at Fukushima and what it means for the future of nuclear energy.
After the talk, we asked him about ‘smart’ meter radiation. It appears that Continue reading
INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS’ PERSPECTIVES ON THE HEALTH EFFECTS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS (EMF) AND ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION (EMR).
June 11, 2011. Below are some of the key resolutions/appeals released by expert scientific groups around the world since 1998, regarding the biological and health effects of both low frequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) associated with electricity and radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic radiation (EMR) generated by wireless devices.
Anyone who reads these cannot be left with the illusion (or delusion) that this form of energy is without adverse biological and health consequences at levels well below existing guidelines. Children are particularly vulnerable. It is irresponsible of governments to maintain the status quo in light of thousands of studies that have been published and statements by these experts.
Here are the resolutions/appeals/reports in reverse chronological order: Continue reading
Josh del Sol from Vancouver is the Producer of the forthcoming documentary feature film Take Back Your Power about the Smart Grid deployment and growing global resistance to it. He mentioned that he believes there is beginning to be a shift in how people view the relationship between EMF electrosmog pollution and what’s been called “electro-sensitivity,” both of which are being significantly increased by the so called “smart” grid- a bloated, dangerous and invasive beast being paid for by our taxes and utility bills.
We are literally being microwaved- and then billed for it.
Perhaps a better term for the ability to feel the waves- Josh suggests- is‘electromagnetically aware.’
